The same water, for everyone
We're an ordinary outfitter. No special programs, no singling anyone out, anyone can book any day. We don't sort people into categories or lead with a label.
Nearly every outfitter tells you who a trip is for; almost none name the quiet thing that actually decides it, money. Socioeconomic class is the silent divider, the barrier that never makes it onto a brochure. That's the one we were built to remove.
Our whole design levels that field. You pay by your means, proven in private, and a guest who paid nothing fishes beside a guest who paid in full, with no one able to tell which is which. Same water, same table, same day.
We're not interested in grouping people by their characteristics. We're interested in levelling the field for everyone.

Frequently asked
If I pay full price, is any of my purchase tax-deductible? +
It depends how you choose to pay. Fair value is the trip's honest cost, pay that and it's a normal purchase, so it isn't tax-deductible. If you'd like, you can add a donation on top (our "fair value + gift" option): that gift goes to our Fund, a pending 501(c)(3) in the United States and a registered charity in Europe. Our US 501(c)(3) status is still pending; once it's confirmed, gifts are tax-deductible in the United States, and gifts to our registered European charity may already qualify for relief. We issue a receipt for the gift amount either way. This isn't tax advice; we'll confirm the exact figures on your receipt.
Is anything I buy from the Fieldshop tax-deductible? +
Usually not. Gear is an ordinary purchase: you pay a fair price and receive goods worth about the same, so there's nothing to deduct. Two things can change that. If we offer an item as a fundraiser priced above its fair market value, the amount above that value is a deductible charitable contribution, and we'll state the item's fair market value on the listing and your receipt. And if you buy gear for a genuinely charitable or business purpose, a company kitting out a funded guest, or donating equipment to the Fund, different rules can apply. The cleanest route is a straight donation to the Fund. This isn't tax advice; keep your receipt and check with your advisor.

Because we price by means, not by product. You pay in full, or, with a recent tax return shown privately, 30% or 50% off, or a fully-funded place. Full-payers help fund the supported and free places. See Access for the full breakdown.
How do you verify income for a supported or fully-funded place? +
Privately. We ask for a recent tax return (or, for a fully-funded place, a tax return or a benefit statement). Verification happens off to the side, with care, never on the trip.
Will the other people on my trip know what I paid? +
No. That's the whole point. A guest who pays nothing and a guest who pays in full share the same day without either knowing the other's situation.
What if my place is fully funded, do I need my own gear? +
No. For fully-funded guests we provide the gear and anything else you need so you arrive comfortable.
Do I need any experience? +
None. Most of our day experiences start on dry land, and every trip is matched to your level with a guide at your side.
Can I pay in instalments? +
Yes. Reserve any place with a deposit and pay the balance in instalments.

Travel & ticketing
Killary Outfitters is pleased to offer full-service travel help. We'll handle your flights, transfers and logistics, so the journey is as sorted as the fishing, and the cost of getting there is never the thing that keeps you off the water.
Airline ticketing
We’ll book your flights, the right routes and the best times to land for each trip, with the insider read that comes from making the journey ourselves. Prefer to use your own miles and airports? We’ll advise and let you book direct.
Lodging & ground
Transfers, rental cars and any nights either side of the trip, arranged alongside your ticket. On our multi-day trips, ground transport once you’re with us is already included in the price.
If plans change
Weather turns, connections slip, dates move, real people who know the trips are on the end of the line to re-route and rebook. Attention to detail, and support the whole way through.
So the journey is never the barrier
Transportation vouchers
A subsidised or free place means little if you can't afford to get there. Depending on your circumstances, we provide transportation vouchers, toward fuel, a bus or train fare, or a flight, to help cover the cost of reaching us and getting home. Funded by the same charitable Access Fund; just ask when you apply.
Peace of mind
Get covered
We recommend every guest protect their trip. We fund our own white-label cover, Killary Cover, built around fishing trips and underwritten by a licensed carrier. One point of contact for a quote, one for a claim. For supported and fully-funded guests, cover can be included or subsidised through the Access Fund, no one travels unprotected because of what they could pay.
Trip cancellation & interruption
Get your trip cost back if illness, injury or an emergency stops you travelling, or cut a trip short and recover the unused days.
Medical & evacuation
Emergency medical care while you’re away, plus evacuation from remote water back to proper treatment, the cover that matters most, far from home.
Tackle & gear
Lost, damaged or delayed rods, reels and luggage. Turn up to fish even if your bags don’t.
Delays & missed connections
Weather, strikes and missed connections happen. Cover for the extra nights, rebooked flights and knock-on costs.
Cancel for any reason
An optional upgrade, usually within a short window of your deposit, for the freedom to change your mind and recover most of your outlay.
